Answer the call of the Kruger, the vast, famous southern game park teeming with Africa's most iconic creatures. This four-day safari puts you right in the thick of the park's grasslands and forests, filled with birdlife and big game. Keep an eye out for grazing elephants, giraffes and wildebeest from your safari vehicle, and try to spot prowling lions and leopards at night. Visit the Mafunyani Cultural Village for a lesson in traditional dance and song and to feast on a local lunch. This is a short adventure, but an action-packed and memorable one.

Day 1 Johannesburg/Kruger National Park
Please note that this tour departs early (approx 5am) on day one. It is highly recommended that you spend the night before tour in Johannesburg. We are able to book you accommodation at our safe, exclusive Jo'Burg Lodge- just ask us at time of booking. You'll love the comfy permanent tents, and great pool and bar area.
Early morning on day 1 we depart Johannesburg, the city of Gold and head off on an adventure of a lifetime. A truly unique African experience unfolds as we enter the Kruger Park via one of the Southern gates. The Park is home to 150 species of mammal, including Africa's famed Big Five. The staggering 507 bird species, plus the wide variety of insects, reptiles and amphibians make this the ultimate wildlife experience. Travel time from Jo'Burg to Kruger today is approximately 7-8 hours.
We board open safari vehicles and enjoy our first exciting game drive en-route to our camp, taking in the sheer beauty of the African bush along the way. After settling into camp, we enjoy a bushveld dinner around the campfire before venturing out into the bush as we track the creatures of the night on an evening game drive.

Days 2-3 Kruger National Park
On day 2 after an early rise as we depart our camp at first light. Our game drive takes us to some of the best game drive routes within the Kruger Park, giving us the opportunity to view the varied landscapes, ecosystems and abundant wildlife. The entire day is spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping off at the various waterholes en-route to our central camp. We arrive in time to freshen up before we head out on a game walk. These activities are accompanied by armed Kruger Park Rangers and give us the opportunity to experience the real Kruger. After an adventure filled day we return to camp and are greeted with the aroma of traditional African meal.

Up at daybreak on our third day, we discover more of the Kruger's amazing ecosystems on an early morning game drive. We enjoy breakfast back at camp before making our way out of Kruger and to Mafunyani Cultural Village. Here we will learn more about this regions local tribe and may have the chance to sample the locals' musical talents, as well as enjoying a traditional lunch. In the late afternoon we head for a private safari lodge, where we spend the rest of the evening at leisure. After an action packed day, we enjoy a traditional boma dinner around a log fire.

Day 4 Johannesburg
An early rise as we head out on a morning bush walk. Guided by a qualified nature guide, we learn about nature's finer details like bird, tree and spoor identification. After breakfast, we depart the Lodge and our journey takes us through the Mpumalanga Province as we travel along the Drakensberg Escarpment to view the spectacular setting of the Three Rondawels overlooking the Blyde River Canyon. We then continue our journey en-route to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon, between 5 and 6pm (approx. 8-9 hours total travel time including stops and sightseeing).
