If you're after a startlingly different African safari, you'll love this short and very leisurely adventure through the lily pads, palm islands and long grasses of the Okavango Delta. Take to a dugout canoe to navigate your way through a maze of waterways teeming with life, go on safari through the rainforests of Moremi Wildlife Reserve or simply kick back with a cool drink in hand on a comfortable hammock - the choice is completely yours.

Day 1 Maun/Okavango Delta

On day 1 begin you trip with an exciting light aircraft flight (approx. 45 minutes) from Maun to the camp. Flying over the delta, there is a wonderful aerial view of the tangle of beautiful blue-green channels that form the Okavango.

Your accommodation, Okuti Lodge, lies within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve along the Maunchira River which flows through the Xakanaxa Lagoon. Activities available here include game drives and power boat safaris along these permanent waterways of the Okavango Delta. With a remarkable number of animals coming to this delta to drink, sightings of elephants, hippos, lions and antelopes are incredibly common.

Overnight: Okuti Lodge

Your accommodation for the next three nights is exclusive - the Lodge holds only 20 people in 10 twin share ensuite elevated canvas and wood chalets. Bathrooms comprise of showers, flush toilets and basins.

Days 2-3 Okavango Delta

Days 2 and 3 are a fantastic blend of morning and afternoon adventures both on the river and on foot, including guided walks, wildlife spotting and Mokoro (dugout) excursions if the water levels are right. These excursions are punctuated by long brunches, afternoon high teas, relaxing sundowners and delicious dinners. All the ingredients for a perfect African break!

Day 4 Okavango Delta/Maun

There may be time for a final morning activity after breakfast before boarding your flight (approx. 45 minutes) to return to Maun where our tour finishes on arrival at the Maun airport. Please note that times for transfers are not fixed and are scheduled in to accommodate the passengers travelling.

Please note no accommodation is provided for this evening. There are taxis available here if you wish to return to your own accommodation in Maun, approximate cost would be US$5-12.
